MY Journey as an Athlete and Coach

Lessons from the Field, the Fight, and Faith

Soccer players competing for the ball during a match on a grassy field, with one player in yellow and others in blue and green uniforms.

I’ve been competing for as long as I can remember…

— chasing the ball across the field, pushing myself in the gym, testing limits in martial arts, and learning that growth happens far beyond the scoreboard.

But the truth?
It wasn’t always easy. It wasn’t always clear. And it wasn’t just about the game — it was about who I was becoming through the process.

It Started with the Ball at My Feet

Soccer taught me discipline early. Hours of practice, setbacks, wins, losses — I fell in love with the grind, but I also saw how easy it was to get lost chasing talent without the right mindset.

I realized fast:
Skills fade. The right foundation doesn’t.

That lesson stuck with me — not just on the field but in life.

The Fight Shaped My Focus

Martial arts added a new level of mental toughness — focus, humility, and respect. On the mat, you can’t hide behind hype. You have to show up disciplined, prepared, and grounded.

Those same lessons apply everywhere — on the field, in your habits, and in your faith.

Why I Coach

Coaching is more than drills and game plans — it’s about building people. Athletes don’t just need physical training; they need leaders who care about their character, mindset, and spiritual growth.

That’s why I coach. That’s why I mentor. That’s why I created Built Different — to help the next generation of athletes rise higher, with faith, focus, and discipline.

What I Believe

Your mindset shapes your future
Your faith fuels your foundation
Your work ethic sets you apart
You were never meant to stay average

The Mission Moving Forward

I’ve walked this road — as an athlete, a coach, and a believer — and I’m here to guide others through it. Through Average Joe to Pro, my training programs, and Built Different, I help athletes grow beyond the game.

If you're ready to rise — mentally, spiritually, and physically — you're in the right place.
